The Nylabone Extreme Tough Dog Chew Toy, a Bison-flavored XXL option, is designed for the most powerful chewers weighing over 23kg. Nero, our 9-year-old Pitt bull, spent hours with this toy, leaving barely a mark. Its generous size is still manageable for dogs to carry, and the curved design provides an easy grip for a satisfying chewing experience. This toy is ideal for strong chewers. Maya, a rescue who initially shied away from toys, took to the Nylabone instantly, finding joy in chewing and carrying it.

Even Black Nero, known for his destructive chewing habits, proved no match for this Nylabone. Despite his tendency to chew through large pieces of wood and his anxiety-driven chewing on sturdy materials, the Nylabone held up remarkably well, with only faint tooth marks after extensive use. The toy is easy to clean and, importantly, retains its flavor, offering a mess-free and odorless chewing solution.

It was easy for us humans to load with treats, and crucially, the dogs didn’t struggle to access them. The soft, bouncy rubber side proved particularly appealing, even more so than the treat-dispensing aspect for some. Jean adored this toy, spending hours burying and chewing it, much to the chagrin of his playmate, Komo.

Across the board, from large dogs like Jambo to smaller ones like Star, the Kong Rewards Ball withstood hours of chewing and interactive play without a single tooth mark or leftover treat. This indicates a well-designed and durable treat-dispensing mechanism. This is a great interactive toy for your dog.

The CyunCmay Indestructible Dog Toy XL Bone initially generated significant excitement. However, this enthusiasm was short-lived, particularly for Black Nero, who began to destroy it within 30 minutes. While the toy’s handles facilitated a game of tug-of-war and it was enjoyed for fetching, its soft, rubbery, and pliable material proved insufficient against determined chewing. The resulting teeth marks and the near-split condition within half an hour were disappointing.

While it provided brief enjoyment for retrieving and short play sessions, it is not recommended for dogs that engage in prolonged chewing. The dogs were notably disappointed when their fun was cut short.

HETOO Indestructible Squeaky Dental Care Dog Toy

The HETOO Indestructible Squeaky Dental Care Dog Toy, designed primarily for dental cleaning, failed to impress our canine panel. Even its squeaker, which one might expect to elicit excitement, caused Maya to hide initially. To encourage interaction, we added peanut butter to the grooves, which held Maya’s attention for a few minutes before she lost interest.

Kong Wobbler Interactive Treat Dispensing Dog Toy

The Kong Wobbler elicited a hilarious and somewhat perplexed reaction from the dogs due to its substantial size and unique wobbling motion. Made from a hard plastic polymer, as opposed to Kong’s typical rubber, it features a twist-off lid for easy treat filling. Initially, the dogs struggled to retrieve treats, and we realized that the toy performs best on smooth surfaces rather than the pebbly ground of their kennels. Additionally, the treat size needed to be compatible with the dispenser hole. The KONG Wobbler is a great interactive toy.

Once these factors were addressed, the Kong Wobbler became a hit. Its large size makes it difficult for dogs to grasp and chew, reducing the risk of destruction. Our dogs confirmed its durability, and once they understood its function, they thoroughly enjoyed it. A minor consideration is that the treat hole is relatively small for the toy’s overall size, requiring appropriately sized treats.
