Experience thrilling dog agility demonstrations presented by the Zoom Room, and witness a heartwarming Shelter Dog Fashion Show featuring pups from spcaLA and Best Friends as they strut their stuff. You and your dog can also participate in two engaging contests designed to showcase your unique talents and bond.

Silly Dog Trick Contest

Unleash your dog’s inner comedian in the SILLY DOG TRICK CONTEST! Dogs of all breeds and ages are encouraged to enter and showcase their most amusing and original tricks. The most entertaining performances will be rewarded with fantastic prizes from our generous vendors and a coveted Marley and Me: The Puppy Years DVD. Entry to this contest is free, with the only requirement being a great sense of humor and proof of your dog’s current vaccination records, which must be presented prior to the event.

Ultimate Puppy Championship

The endearing sequel, Marley and Me: The Puppy Years, captures the delightful escapades of Marley as a puppy, featuring heartwarming scenes of him participating in agility training. Many owners may not realize the benefits of agility training for puppies, provided it’s conducted safely on equipment specifically designed for their size. Puppy agility focuses not on rigorous athletics, which can be detrimental to developing joints and muscles, but rather on fostering improved balance, coordination, communication skills, and building terrific self-confidence.

At The Grove, we’ll be replicating the movie’s exciting finale with the ULTIMATE PUPPY CHAMPIONSHIP. The Zoom Room will set up a specially modified agility course tailored for puppies. All puppies under one year of age are welcome to participate. Similar to the trick contest, there is no entry fee, but current vaccination records appropriate for your puppy’s age are required before the event. Beyond competing for the best time and fabulous prizes, puppies will also earn “Cute Points” from our judges as they navigate the course.

We eagerly anticipate seeing you and your beloved pets at The Grove on August 13th for a memorable celebration of all things dog!
