Enrollment Requirements for Doggy Day Care
To ensure the safety and compatibility of all dogs within our program, Leader of the Pack Canine Institute has established specific enrollment requirements. We welcome dogs of all ages, with a requirement for dogs over six months of age to be spayed or neutered. Female dogs currently in heat are not eligible for enrollment; please contact us directly with any questions.
Vaccination and Health Records
All participating dogs must have current vaccinations for Distemper, Rabies, Bordetella, and Canine Influenza. Furthermore, a negative stool test for parasites within the last six months is mandatory. We strictly require official, paper-format vaccination and health records from a veterinary professional for all enrollments.
Behavior Assessment and Eligibility
Each dog must successfully complete an initial behavior assessment to determine eligibility for our doggy day care program. This evaluation allows us to ensure a harmonious and safe environment for all dogs. Leader of the Pack Canine Institute reserves the right to decline enrollment for any dog deemed unsuitable for the facility. Signed waivers are a mandatory part of the enrollment process. You can access all necessary forms for Day Care and Boarding here.
Attire and Re-evaluation Policies
All dogs must wear a standard nylon quick-release collar. We do not permit harnesses, metal collars, chokers, or martingales on the day care floor. Dogs not in proper attire may be turned away. For dogs with a hiatus of six months or longer from our day care or dog boarding programs, re-evaluations are required without exception. The fee for this evaluation is $22 and requires advance scheduling. If you are uncertain about your pet’s last visit, please call us at 610-366-8282. Dogs not seen for six months or more may be subject to turn away, and slow introductions, which require advance scheduling and incur a fee of $12.00 per dog, are necessary after a three-month absence.
