The transformative experience I offer is deeply personal, having literally saved my life. Twenty years ago, facing a terminal illness diagnosis, I recognized that despite my achievements, I had been living at the expense of life itself. This realization prompted a decision to fully experience whatever time I had left, free from the relentless drive for accomplishment. The challenge was rediscovering my true self, a self obscured by the imbalance created by achievement without personal development—an imbalance that no amount of time or micromanagement could fix. My first step was to understand who I was, enabling me to face the present moment with my whole being. A heartfelt, albeit unspoken, prayer was answered: “Go to the horses.” You can read more about this pivotal moment in my book, Crossing The Silly Bridge. The horses guided me back to myself, and as I began to truly live, I started to heal. Determined not to squander this second chance, I felt compelled to help others find their own transformations through the wisdom of horses. I sold my possessions and embarked on a new path westward.
As we embark on this journey, we discover that everything we need is already provided. Fortunately, my now-husband, Jess Arie, entered my life at this crucial time. Together, we established Vista Caballo, a sanctuary dedicated to sharing this profound equine-guided transformation with leaders from diverse global backgrounds and industries. Participants consistently report a fundamental shift in their presence and perspective, leading to a dramatically altered self-perception and a clearer vision for their lives. They are empowered not only to envision a new, more fulfilling trajectory but also to confidently step onto and accelerate down that path.
This led to a pivotal question posed to Jess: “Everyone in the world needs this experience. How can we make it accessible to them?” This question ignited a decade-long exploration into the mechanics of transformation. We sought to understand the internal processes that spark epiphanies, revealing our potential far beyond our previous self-awareness. We delved into how taking the reins of our lives is the key to fulfillment. Collaborating with scientists, we investigated the elements that enable us to be present, shift our perspectives, and consequently, enhance our interactions with life. This research aimed to equip leaders with the ability to make better decisions for their organizations, ultimately yielding superior results. The insights gained were meticulously transposed onto a digital platform, The Stillpoint Experience. This innovation now allows leaders worldwide to benefit from our transformative program anytime, anywhere, with the journey having originated with the wisdom of horses.
